This policy explains what information SajuHub (sajuhub.com) handles and why. SajuHub is run by Forecast (포캐스트), Seoul, South Korea. Contact: ichingcho@gmail.com.

What happens to the birth details I enter?

The date, time and city you enter are processed by JavaScript on your device. The calculation happens there; pressing “Write my Saju” does not send them to our server.

To let you bookmark or share a chart, the result is written into the link — the web address (URL) of the page (for example ?date=1990-07-04&time=09:20&place=New+York…). If you reload, bookmark or share that link, the details travel with it, and anyone you send it to can see them. When a browser opens such a link, our web server receives the full web address as part of the normal request (see server logs below). When ads are shown, Google’s ad code on the page can also read the page’s web address. The link also stays in your browser history, like any page you visit.

What do your server logs record?

Like almost every website, our web server automatically records each request: your IP address, the date and time, the web address requested (including anything after the “?”), the referring page and your browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site secure, stop abuse and fix errors. We keep them for up to 14 days and then delete them. We do not combine them with other data or use them to build profiles.

Our server is hosted by Vultr in Seoul, South Korea.

What happens if I email you?

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you include (such as birth details). We use them only to reply and to fix problems you report. Our mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail). We delete messages when they are no longer needed, and at the latest two years after our last reply, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Do you use cookies?

SajuHub itself does not set cookies and does not save anything in your browser’s storage. We do not use an analytics service; if we add one, we will update this page first.

Third parties may set cookies when ads are shown — see the next section.

How does advertising work on SajuHub?

Ads on SajuHub are served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to SajuHub and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• If third-party ad serving is enabled, other Google-certified ad vendors may also use cookies to serve ads. You can opt out of many of them at www.aboutads.info.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

What other services load on the page?

Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ. The city list and the calculation engine are served from our own server.

Do you sell personal information?

No. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not collect any for that purpose. Google’s advertising cookies, described above, may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under some US state laws. If you live in such a state, such as California, you can opt out of personalized ads using the Google links above, and where required we show an opt-out message from Google.

What are my rights?

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act), you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we have no accounts, the only personal information we hold is the short-lived server logs and any emails you send us, as described above. Email us at ichingcho@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Is SajuHub for children?

SajuHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Will this policy change?

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
